Former Surgeon Dr. Joel Roskind Transitions to Instructing
Joel Roskind MD is retired from plastic surgery, but busier than ever furnishing expertise harvested from 30-year work to physicians and medical students. As a surgeon, Dr. Joel Roskind specialized in body enhancements, but he also made a point of acquiring multiple interests in the medical area, giving broad knowledge and perspective which he now plans to leverage as a lecturer and advisor
Dr. Joel Roskind draws on a wealth of know how that includes running a large, successful practice; functioning as an inspector for the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities (AAASF); instructing at half a dozen medical schools and serving on a three-man plastic surgery team in the U.S. Navy.
He then joined the U.S. Navy and served as part of a three-man plastic surgery team. During that time, he traveled to Mexico to do surgery on disadvantaged youngsters with congenital deformities. Also during that time, he began his lecturing work at the University of California, San Diego. He has gone on to instruct at the Nassau University Medical Center, North Shore University Hospital, Cornell Medical School and the University Of Miami School Of Medicine. He will now be instructing for the second time at Boston University School of Medicine.
And, Joel Roskind is an knowledgeable teacher. He has previously taught at Boston University, as well as the Nassau University Medical Center, North Shore University Hospital, Cornell Medical School and the University of California, San Diego. He is also the former Voluntary Clinical Assistant Professor or Surgery at the University Of Miami School Of Medicine.
Joel Roskind MD has always trusted that because patients put so much trust in their physicians, doctors have a special obligation to make sure patients get the best possible care, and he has worked throughout his occupation to make sure they are protected by strict safety standards.
