A Silent Killer

Posted by admin in It's Your Business

I did realize I was one of them, I just did not know how many of us it was. Now you are probably wondering what in the world I am talking about.

Bad circulation! A condition affecting around 10 million people here in the United States alone.

Poor circulation has been a part of everyday life for me, for many years now, and I never gave it a second thought. Little did I know how serious this problem could be? Being a little over weight I always worried about serious illnesses like diabetes and heart attacks.

Never in my wildest imagination would I have believed that a little tingling in my arms and legs could prove more dangerous than those. You probably did not think so either, did you?

Come to find out, bad circulation can be a very sneaky and silent killer. It literally sneaks around in your body and only gives you small hints (arms and legs falling asleep) now and then that something might be going on in your body which might not be so good.

Terrified is probably how you would feel if you knew what this condition can lead to unless you get it under control.

A lot of things can cause bad circulation such as obesity, smoking and to little exercise. This does not necessarily mean that you have to get involved in a lot of activities, just get back to what was once normal.

People in today’s society generally get way to little exercise. We hardly do any moving around. You probably drive everywhere you have to go, while years ago people would walk or ride their bikes. How often do you see your neighbors going for a walk or you for that matter?

If you are one of those suffering from bad circulation you need to worry because the end results of having poor circulation might be you loosing a limb due to gangrene which is caused by bad circulation.

Even worst is the clogging of the arteries that can lead to heart attack or stroke.
Come to find out, these things can be so easily prevented just by recognizing the symptoms and taking action.

Yes, you can prevent this from happening to you!

It was a stroke of luck how I found out. Luck or maybe it was meant to be that I typed the wrong thing in my computer and ended up on a wrong web site.

Mind you, this subject was not even close to being on my mind when I stumbled across this site. It sure has been since and I feel that with all the people suffering from this condition, they obviously need to be made aware of what they are dealing with.

Knowing might just mean the difference between life and death.

If you are, or even have a suspicion that you might have problems with bad circulation you really should check out this web site: www.beatbadcirculation.com.

Your life is worth that much at least, is it not?

Maintaining Your Carpet Extractor in Your Auto Detail Shop

Posted by admin in It's Your Business

Auto Detailing: Maintaining A Commercial Carpet Extractor

You should drain your carpet extractor at the end of each use or at least by the end of the day. Do not dump the excess dirty water or soap into a storm drain. Dump it into a toilet, sink or on a lawn. It is not allowed in the storm drain that is for storm water only and not the kind of scum, which is found in the discharge tank of a carpet extractor. If you leave the fluid in the tank more than a couple of days, it will be very difficult to clean. Two weeks and it’s a major chore. You should rinse out the chemical tank and attachment parts as well, including the hoses.

Your carpet extractor most likely has a three-year warranty on parts; this is typical in the industry. Do not expect your warranty to be guaranteed abusive use such as cleaning out a dog house, fire and water damaged carpet or insides of lateens is generally a void able event. Don’t laugh. Our vendor has told us stories of such. He guaranteed that he would void all warranties in the event an idiot was operating the machine in a fashion beyond its realm of ability. Super industrial machines are available for this type of work and companies that use them have a major investment in their units. Companies such as: Serve Pro, Service Master, Miligan ‘Milicare”, Chem-Dry, Duraclean, Stanely Steamer. These are huge companies with over 15,000 outlets combined worldwide.

Stick to what you are good at. Cars, trucks, motor homes, boats, planes, etc. If you attempt to clean household furniture, carpets or drapes you’ll be sorry. Such work to do it right requires training, as you have to know all about: Different types of fabric, Different types of dyes, Different types of stains, Different types of carpets, Different types of chemicals, Etc. Most of the Franchise companies, which do that type of work have specialty niches and go through three weeks of intense classroom study to learn it all. They must learn a week’s worth of: Selling, Advertising, Bidding, Competition and Equipment Knowledge.

I am not saying don’t clean your upholstery at home. Go ahead. But don’t be surprised if it takes you hours and doesn’t clean the pomegranate juice up. And don’t be surprised when you run out of chemicals and rip a piece of furniture and bust a part of your machine.

Maintenance And Up Keep;

The cleaning power of an extractor is generally based upon three important elements: Pump Pressure, Suction or Waterlift, Heat or No Heat. Most manufacturers have different theories as to what is the most effective combination. As you gain savvy in the Auto Detailing Industry you will better understand what is needed to get the job done and what the advantages and disadvantages are to each type of carpet extractor machine.

The pressure at which an extractor shoots the water/cleaning solution mix into the carpets or seats is a function of your pump. Pumps vary from 15 PSI to 200 PSI. We feel comfortable at 60 to 100 PSI. Higher pressures tend to deflect or bounce water off the item you are cleaning. This will usually cause you to splatter carpet cleaner on things you don’t want splattered. If your carpet extractor is spraying chemicals too hard or too soft, check: The orifice at the nozzle for proper sizing; Voltage to the pump. Make sure it’s operating at the proper speed; Leaks in the inlet hose and fittings; Leaks in the outlet pressure hose wand or guns; Chemical injection for air leaks; Chemical tank for fluid. Make sure it’s not all foam, you could be sucking air.

You should keep unit clean internally and inspect it periodically, especially if you see water dripping from the unit during operation.

Water lift is the rating on suction. This is important because you want to suck all the water and chemicals from the carpet. We recommend and supply a unit with 100 to 120 inches of life. In other words, it will suck water from the ground 100 to 120 inches straight up. It’s important to always maintain great suction power. To make sure you have appropriate suction, put your hand over the hose. If it feels off a little you should check for: Blockage in hose, Holes in hose, Air leaks in fittings, Cracks in vacuum head, Voltage of motor, Speed of motor, Etc.

Many extractors have heating elements. It takes fifteen minutes for extractors to heat the water. If your carpet extractor unit doesn’t, then simply take your hot water pressure washer and turn on the heat. Turn it up all the way and put hot water into the carpet extractor tank at 190F. Simply quick release the spray tip and fill up the tank on the extractor. If you have problems heating the water, see the section on steam cleaner burner in this section of the Operations Manual. Take care of your carpet extractor because the costs of the newer models now on the market are not cheap. If you own a detail shop, car wash or have a mobile unit, for Pete’s sake; Lock it up at all times. They seem to be a favorite item for the Crystal Meth loser crowd to walk off with.

Ignore At Your Own Peril - Article Submission Mistakes

Posted by admin in It's Your Business

The most important task in the world of marketing with articles is to create relationships with editors. This is not to say that you need to invite them to dinner or even call them on a regular basis. You do have to be polite, reliable and submit quality articles. If possible, engage the editor in conversation via e-mail and let them know to ask you for additional articles when they have a need. Don’t be one of those authors that drive editors crazy. If you do, editors are likely to make sure your articles end up in the “delete” folder. Follow the best practices below and editors will likely put you at the top of their “favorite authors” file:

* Be courteous and use professional language when approaching editors. Treat editors the way you expect to be treated.

* Using correct spelling, grammar and punctuation is vital. Experienced editors will throw out an article with even one of these mistakes.

* Format articles properly in a text editor. Never use a traditional word processing program when writing your articles or your format will be garbled.

* Avoid boring titles and boring text. Tell a story, add a twist and have some fun while writing. Editors love receiving something new and exciting.

* Write only about things you know. You are not an expert on everything.

* Submit only your own original documents. Don’t copy from someone else.

* Read the guidelines and view archived articles to make sure you follow all the rules.

* Submit on-topic articles only. Today I wasted time getting rid of articles about diving, nursing and frugal living. My guidelines clearly state I only accept articles about article submissions!

* Fill out forms completely and include contact information with e-mails.

* Savvy article writers never submit articles that are thinly disguised sales letters or advertising.

* Some editors will send you an e-mail when they use your article and some don’t. Never, never, never bombard an editor and ask when and if your article will be published.

* Remove editors from your list promptly when asked. If you continue to submit when told not to then you are in violation of spam laws.

* Submit only one or two articles per week to your list. I know writers who submit dozens of articles a week to their list. This is annoying and can be seen as “spamming” even if you follow all the rules.

Remember that editors are busy people just like you and me. Don’t waste their time, be professional and let them know you appreciate the opportunity to work with them. Carefully cultivate your relationship with editors and your article submission efforts will bloom!

Xerox - Its Journey with Ink

Posted by admin in It's Your Business

Chester Carlson inventor of xerography founded the Haloid Company on April 18, 1935. The company manufactured and sold photographic paper! It was based in Rochester New York.

In the year 1942 Carlson received U.S. patent No. 2,297,691 on Oct. 6 for electrophotography, later called xerography, the technology that revolutionized the world of imaging.

Xerox as it is known today was trademarked in 1948 when Haloid and Battelle Development Corp. announced the development of xerography.

The first ever copier- Model A or Ox Box, based on xerography was given to the world by Xerox in the year 1949! Today it manufactures printers for office and home use as well as high volume printers, wide format printers and digital printing presses and afcoarse all the supplies that go with these equipments! They also provide services such as document management, assessment and asset management services among a number of other services!

Xerox pioneered work on the carbon-based organic toner during the 1950’s and today it boasts of developing a chemically grown toner - Emulsion Aggregation, in short Xerox has been and still is the market leader in copiers, toners and Inks!

It is No.1 in digital production color and No. 2 in office color. Xerox also manufactures compatible cartridges and claims to be a high quality alternative to Hewlett-Packard cartridges!
Xerox manufactures and markets a range of monochrome and colored copiers, fax machines, printers and presses.

Technology:

Xerox Research Center Canada conducts fundamental and applied materials research in toners, inks, photoreceptors and specialty substrates to support xerographic and direct printing technologies.

Solid Ink

Solid ink remains in solid form until heated to a very specific temperature so that it turns to liquid, then instantly turns back to solid when printed. A precise stainless steel print head with tiny holes smaller than a human hair applies the solid ink to the printing media. The print head houses 1,236 nozzles jetting more than 30 million drops per second. The print head jets the ink to a heated drum where it remains in a malleable state that ensures precise transfer to the paper.
This reduces the amount of ink that is absorbed into the paper fibers and controls dot spread.

The brain behind such precise control is the Phaser controller, which is based on a 600 MHz processor and a high-speed 64-bit bus.

A solid ink printer consists of only three major components- the print head that applies ink to print drum, the print drum that transfers image to paper and the controller, which is the brain of the printer that converts data from the computer to information required to print the image on paper. Add a cabinet and a paper tray and you have a solid ink printer.

With print speeds up to 30 pages per minute, and first-page-out within six seconds, the solid ink printer can be three times faster than a comparably priced laser printer.
Advantages of solid ink printers is they give outstanding print quality, 90% less waste as compared to other competitive printers in the market, prints up to 16 pages on a single sheet saving paper and it is Energy Star compliant.

Emulsion Aggregation Toner

It is the breakthrough technology developed by Xerox Research Center Canada and patented by Xerox. This technology uses a chemical process to grow toner particles with well-defined shapes.

Extremely tiny particles of the components that make up toner are placed together in a water-based environment and allowed to bond, and then grow. This simplifies the control of the size and shape of toner particles. Once the particles reach their target size, they are removed from the growth environment. This growth process of completely organic matter requires fewer steps and consumes less energy, making it much more environmentally friendly.

One major advantage is that cost is not a limiting factor in manufacturing EA toner owing to the fact that there is no exponential relation between cost and toner particle size! Moreover, this in turn is due to very less energy consumption during the particle growth phase.

John Sollars is the managing director of Stinky Ink http://www.stinkyinkshop.co.uk suppliers of Xerox ink cartridges and pc peripherals based in the UK. Dachshund Care

Posted by admin in It's Your Business

The Dachshund is a very popular dog breed today. It is often referred to as the wiener dog or hotdog dog because of its unique shape and size. Dachshunds make great companions and are pretty easy to care for!

This dog is originally from Germany. It was developed to hunt badger there hundreds of years ago. “Dachs” means badger in German, which is how they got their name. Dachshunds have short legs and long bodies in order to go inside the badger burrows and dig the prey out. Later, the miniature dachshund was bred to hunt hare and stoat. Today, this breed is mainly kept to be a companion though.

The coat of the dachshund comes in three different types: smooth haired, longhaired and wirehaired. The longhaired variety has long, straight hair. The smooth haired variety has short, straight and smooth hair that is the same length all over the body. The wirehaired variety has coarse, wiry, harsh hair. The coat comes in many colors, such as sable, cream, red, black and tan, chocolate and tan, gray and tan, fawn and tan, or brindle. There are also three different sizes of the dog, standard, miniature and toy. The standard size usually weighs about twenty pounds; the miniature size usually weighs about nine pounds and the toy size usually weighs about eight pounds.

The Dachshund is very lively, affectionate, bold, curious and mischievous. These dogs are very intuitive and smart. Because of this, they may try to train their owner rather than the opposite. This makes them fairly difficult to train. They can be stubborn when you are training them so be sure you are firm and consistent. Dachshunds love to bark and actually have a pretty loud bark, despite their size. If you let this dog outside, you will need to watch it because dachshunds are obsessive diggers.

Dachshunds absolutely love to be around people. They are very friendly and outgoing. They are also never aggressive or timid. However, because of this dog’s love for people, it can easily become jealous. The Dachshund is not recommended for small children, but it will do fine with older children. They will also usually get along well with other pets, but be careful if you have a large dog because the dachshund can easily get hurt.

The biggest health risk these dogs face is obesity. A dachshund gains weight very easily and if they get overweight this puts far too much strain on their tiny body. You must be careful to ensure that they do not overeat. Some other common health problems of this breed are spinal disc problems, heart disease, diabetes and urinary tract problems. Try not to let this dog jump too much so that they will not hurt their spine.

The Dachshund is very lively, but it actually doesn’t need that much exercise. A short walk once a day or a session of play is enough. They tend to get tired very easily so try not to go on a long walk or play for a long time. Dachshunds will do fine without a yard, so they can even be kept in apartments.

If you own the long haired variety of this dog, you will need to brush the dog every day. The wire haired variety needs to be professionally trimmed twice a year. The smooth haired variety just needs to be rubbed down with a damp cloth every now and then.

Overall, the Dachshund is a great dog to own. They are lots of fun and are very loyal to their owners. Just make sure they are right for you before purchasing one.
